FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Former Commissioner and Hebrew-National Heiress Gomez stated the following to the Sun Sentinel on January 26, 2013;
She said she will not sign the recall petition "because I don't want it be me versus her" — unless recall organizers tell her they are literally one signature short of the required number.
"Then I'll be happy to sign," she said.
Since its inception, there have been rumors that Ms. Gomez has been funding the recall effort since she had the most to gain by its success. Unfortunately, since Florida law does not require groups seeking a recall election to disclose their benefactors, we will never know the truth.
The bigger question is if Hebrew National Heiress Gomez is funding this recall effort under a cloak of darkness, are these machinations much different from the political manipulations seen in Tamarac politics over the years?

Tamaractruth.com has discovered that there are those who signed the petitions to recall Tamarac Commissioner Patte Atkins-Grad who do not live in the District. To confirm, while their identities are public record, we will only disclose the following individuals’ initials and partial addresses;
GT – NW 38th Drive, Lauderhill
AS -- NW 90th Ave, Sunrise
SM – NW 45th St, Lauderhill
BM – NE 39th St Pompano
EL – Inverary Drive, Lauderhill
ML – Address not given
CC – Sunrise Lakes Boulevard, Sunrise
CC – NW 49th Court, Lauderhill
RC – NW 49th Court, Lauderhill
These ineligible signors clearly show yet again the “win at all costs” mentality and lack of honesty by the Recall Committee. It also raises the question of how many other petitions may be signed by convicted felons, individuals who live out of the District and/or those ineligible for other reasons. It appears the Recall Committee was satisfied to have anyone sign their name to their petitions.
Most importantly, in light of the above, a very thorough investigation to survey those who signed petitions is needed to determine if they were eligible to sign and if they knew the cost to their City for a recall election.
Those in charge of the recall effort either knowingly turned over these faulty petitions or were too lazy to double check them. Either way, this level of ineptness raises many questions of those involved in the recall process.
To recap, last Saturday the Recall Committee falsely accused someone being behind Tamaractruth.com (which has subsequently removed from their page) and now we have proof the Recall Committee submitted faulty petitions to the Broward Supervisor of Elections Office.
In light of the information we know as to the questionable actions of the Recall Committee, can we be sure this is not the tip of the iceberg? How can anyone expect Commissioner Atkins-Grad to resign when more and more questions are raised about the truthfulness and veracity of those involved in the recall process?
